قسمت ۴: جهان و نظریات فیزیکی 
در قسمت چهارم پادکست مگس در بطری، سروش معروضی، میزبان ما در‌ حوزه‌ی فلسفه با شاهین کاوه به بحث و ‌گفتگو در‌خصوص ماهیت نظریات فیزیکی و‌ نسبت آن‌ها با جهان واقع می نشیند. شاهین در خصوص رویکرد روش شناسانه اش توضیحاتی ارائه می دهد.  در ادامه سروش و شاهین همچنین درباره‌ی مناقشه بین واقع گراها و ضد‌واقع‌گراها صحبت می کنند و شاهین موضع فردی‌اش را در این مناقشه مطرح می کند.

شاهین کاوه فارغ التحصیل تاریخ و فلسفه‌ی علم از دانشگاه پیتزبورگ آمریکا است و در حوزه هایی چون تاریخ پیدایش مکانیک کوانتومی و ماهیت و محتوای نظریات فیزیکی پژوهش کرده. شاهین در حال حاضر  مشغول به (philosophy therapy)  فلسفه-درمانی هست و در پروژه های فلسفی کوچک و بزرگ دیگه ای در خارج از فضای آکادمی مشغول به کار هست. می توانید با مراجعه به  لینک زیر با جزییات کارهایش آشنا بشید.

Episode 4 - Physical Theories and the World
 
Soroush Marouzi chats with Shahin Kaveh about what a physical theory consists of and how it relates to the world. Shahin argues that the essence of a physical theory is to tell us what to do, not what there is in the world. Shahin then follows up the implications of his prescriptive account of the nature of physical theories for why science is successful in getting the world right.
Shahin Kaveh received his PhD in the history and philosophy of science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021. He has worked on topics in the history of the formation of quantum mechanics as well as general questions regarding the nature and content of physical theories, among others. Soroush Marouzi is a doctoral candidate in the History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Toronto.

قسمت ۳ : پیدایش مفهوم حق در ایران
در قسمت سوم پادکست مگس در بطری، امیرعلی شمس با بهزاد زره‌داران، دانشجوی دکترای رشته‌ی «تاریخ» دانشگاه ملبورن، دربارهٔ مفهوم حق در ایران قاجار و مشروطه گفتگو می‌کند. این گفتگو با مرور پیشینه‌ی تحصیلی بهزاد شروع می شود و سپس امیرعلی جویای علت تغییر رشته‌ی بهزاد از مهندسی به علوم اجتماعی وانسانی می‌شود. بهزاد پس از مرور تجربهٔ تحصیلش در ایران و مقایسهٔ آن با تحصیل در خارج از ایران، دربارهٔ پروژهٔ دکتری خود صحبت می کنند. بهزاد دربارهٔ علت انتخاب موضوع و منابعی که برای تحقیقاتش استفاده کرده صحبت می‌کند و توضیح می‌دهد چرا به سراغ منابعی نظیر سفرنامه‌ها و اندرزنامه‌ها رفته است. او توضیح می‌دهد که میان سلطنت به عنوان یک سنت و جمهوری به عنوان یک شکل از دولت مدرن چه تفاوت‌هایی وجود دارد. در نهایت، امیرعلی ارزیابی بهزاد را دربارهٔ وضعیت فعلی جامعهٔ ایران، مخصوصا پس از انقلاب ۵۷، در نسبت با مفهوم و فلسفه‌ی حق جویا می شود.
 
بهزاد زره داران دانشجوی دکترای تاریخ در دپارتمان تاریخ و مطالعات فلسفی دانشگاه ملبورن است. موضوع تحقیق دکتری او «پیدایش و توسعه مفهوم حقوق در عصر قاجار در ایران» است. او مقطع کارشناسی ارشدش را در رشته حقوق بشر دانشگاه شهید بهشتی به تمام رسانده و مدتی به عنوان پژوهشگر کرسی حقوق بشر، صلح و دموکراسی یونسکو مشغول به کار بوده است. 
 
 
امیرعلی شمس، میزبان فلای‌باتل در حوزه‌ی ادبیات و تاریخ معاصر، فارغ التحصیل دکتری مهندسی مکانیک شاخه‌ی مهندسی مواد از دانشگاه واترلو است. درحال حاضر او به عنوان مهندس تحقیق و توسعه مشغول به کار است. علاقه جدی او به مطالعات ایران سبب شد که عنوان یکی از اولین‌ها به جامعه‌ی مگس در بطری بپیوندد. در حال حاضر نیز به عنوان میزبان پادکست مگس در بطری در حوزه‌ی تاریخ و ادبیات ایران همکاری خود را به بنیاد مگس در بطری ادامه می دهد.

Episode 3
 
In this episode, Behzad Zerehdaran joins us in the Fly-bottle podcast. Amirali Shams chats with Behzad Zerehdaran about the Concept of Rights in the Qajar Era in Iran.
First, Behzad talks about his education background and how he switched from engineering to social sciences and humanities. He also shares his experience and the challenges of studying these disciplines abroad. In the second part of this conversation, they focus on Behzad’s Ph.D. research which concerns the late-Qajar and Constitutional period in Iran’s history. Amirali and Behzad also discuss the challenges and implications of the binary opposition between the Monarchy and the Republic as two models of a state. Then, they looked at historical views towards the contemporary issue of rights in the country asking whether Iranian society is on the right path to improve human rights or not? Finally, as customary in the Fly-bottle podcast, Amirali asks Behzad about his future plans: Where will he see himself ten years from now?
Our guest, Behzad Zerehdaran, is a Ph.D. Candidate of History at the University of Melbourne. His research is on "the Genesis and Development of the Concept of Rights in the Qajar Era in Iran." He has a Master's in Human Rights from Shahid Beheshti University '17. He was a research fellow at UNESCO Chair of Human Rights, Peace, and Democracy from '14 to '18. 
Amirali Shams received his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo in the field of materials science in Dec. 2021. His passion and interests in Iranian studies made him keen to become a part of the Fly-Bottle community since its foundation in early 2020. Currently, he is working as a materials R&D engineer l meanwhile having collaboration with the Fly-Bottle organization.

قسمت ۲ : سادگی
 
در قسمت دوم پادکست مگس در بطری، عطا حشمتی، میزبان ما در حوزه‌‌ی تاریخ و فلسفه‌‌ علم، با مهدی صدر فراتی دربارهٔ تاریخ اصل سادگی در نجوم قرون میانی صحبت کرد. در این گفتگو، مهدی دو تعبیر مختلف از اصل سادگی را بیان می‌کند: سادگی به مثابه ظرافت و سادگی به مثابه صرفه‌جویی و قناعت. مهدی استدلال می‌کند که اصل سادگی وقتی از ارسطو و بطلمیوس به منجمان مکتب مراغه رسید، دچار یک تحول مفهومی شد و نوعی ظرافت در کیفیت متافیزیکی ماهیات علمی هم به آن افزوده شد.
 
مهدی صدر فراتی دانش‌آموخته ارشد فلسفه علم از دانشگاه پلی‌تکنیک تهران و دکترای فلسفه از دانشگاه ملبورن در استرالیاست. او به مدت دو سال  به عنوان پژوهشگر پسادکتری در پژوهشکدهٔ تاریخ علم دانشگاه تهران مشغول به کار بود. در این مدت مقالات زیادی در نشریات علمی و آکادمیک سطح اول دنیا به چاپ رساند. آخرین مقالهٔ وی در دسامبر ۲۰۲۲ در نشریه پرینکیپیا به چاپ رسید.

Episode 2: Simplicity
 
Ata Heshmati chats with Mahdi Sadrforati about the idea of simplicity in the history of science based on a novel study of the medieval astronomy. They begin by exploring Mahdi’s area of research, namely various theories of conceptual change in science. Then, they discuss different accounts of the principle of simplicity, with close attention to the ancient and medieval metaphysics and astronomy. They conclude their conversation by highlighting the contributions of the Maragheh School to the principle of simplicity.
 
Mahdi Sadrforati finished his PhD of Philosophy in the University Melbourne in 2019. He did a 2-year postdoctoral research in Tehran University, Research Institute of the History of Science. Mahdi has worked on various topics in the history and philosophy of science under the supervision of Howard Sankey. His works appeared in various renowned academic journals, including Studies in History and Philosophy of Science and Principia.
 
Ata Heshmati is a doctoral student in the history and philosophy of science at the University of Toronto.
